WHAT WE BUY IN THE VILLAGES

This is the most common call we get from Sumter County: the RV was the plan for retirement, it did three or four trips, and now the health changed or the spouse doesn't want to drive it anymore. Those units are typically low-mileage and well maintained — the best inventory in Florida, sold by people who feel guilty about selling it.

Our lot is in Davenport, about 90 minutes north.

WE HANDLE IT AT YOUR DOOR

Nobody in The Villages should have to drive a Class A ninety minutes to find out what it's worth. We come to the house or the storage lot, do the walkaround, and pay on the spot. For families closing out an estate, we can work with whoever holds the paperwork — you don't all need to be in the same room.

CLASS A MOTORHOME
What we've learned here

THE TRAVELING YEARS END QUIETER THAN THEY START

The Villages produces a very particular kind of RV sale. A couple buys a Class A or a 28-foot Class C right around retirement, plans a few years of national parks, and gets one or two trips out of it. Then a knee replacement happens, or a cardiologist says no more long drives, or one spouse simply admits they were never comfortable behind the wheel of something that big. The coach ends up at an RV storage lot off 466 or 466A with under 20,000 miles on it and a two-year-old inspection sticker. These are clean, garaged-quality units owned by careful people. The reason for selling is health or honesty, not mechanical trouble, and we treat the conversation that way.

The second stream is estates and downsizing. Adult children handling a parent's move to assisted living, or executors clearing a home before it lists, often find a motorhome nobody in the family wants and a closing date approaching. They are usually calling from out of state. Sumter County storage lots charge monthly whether the coach moves or not, so the clock matters. We can coordinate entirely by phone and photos, meet whoever holds the gate code, and remove the unit without the family flying in.

What actually moves your number

FOUR THINGS THAT DECIDE THE OFFER

LOW MILES AND SERVICE RECORDS PAY

A Class A with 14,000 miles and a folder of oil changes is worth real money, and we want to see the folder. Chassis service, generator hours, roof resealing dates, any warranty work. Owners here tend to keep meticulous records, and that documentation moves our number up because it removes guesswork about what has been maintained and what has been ignored.

WE MEET YOU AT THE STORAGE LOT

Most coaches here live in a gated storage facility rather than a driveway, since neighborhood rules keep them off the street. Tell us the lot and the space number and we handle the rest. If you would rather not drive over, we can work with the facility office or meet a family member with access. If the unit is at the house for the day, we come there instead.

GENERATOR HOURS AND SITTING TIME

Sitting still is what actually ages these coaches. Tires date out before they wear out, house batteries sulfate, and seals dry in Florida sun even under a cover. Tell us the last time the generator ran and roughly how long it has been parked. None of this stops a sale. It helps us give you an accurate figure the first time instead of adjusting on arrival.

ONE QUOTE, NO CALLBACK CAMPAIGN

We quote once, plainly, and then leave the decision with you. No pressure at the door, no second visit to renegotiate, no sales calls for the next six months if you say no thank you. Plenty of people here have already dealt with consignment lots and want a straight number they can compare against. Take a week to think it over if you want.

Step by step

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU SEND IT

You send photos and the mileage, and we come back with a firm cash number, usually the same day. If a family member is helping from out of state, we are glad to talk to them directly instead of routing everything through you. Once you accept, we pick a time that suits you and go to the coach, whether that is the storage lot off 466, a driveway in one of the villages, or a facility in Wildwood or Lady Lake. We look at the unit, confirm it matches the photos, and pay you on the spot. Title work gets signed right there. There is no deposit, no waiting on a wire, and no follow-up calls once it is done.

Who shows up

NO PRESSURE AND NO CALLBACKS

You get one number and then you get left alone. We do not phone twice, we do not send follow-up texts, and we do not treat a family working through an estate as a lead to be worked.

The Villages — straight answers

SELLING AN RV IN THE VILLAGES

Do you buy RVs in The Villages?

Yes, regularly. We come to the house or the storage lot — you don't drive it anywhere.

We're settling a parent's estate. Can you work with us?

Yes. Bring the letters of administration and a photo ID. We've handled a lot of these and we'll keep it simple for the family.

The RV is stored off-site at Lady Lake. Is that a problem?

No. Give us the lot name and space number and we'll coordinate the access ourselves.

My motorhome is in a storage lot, not at the house. Can you pick it up there?

Yes, and that is where most of these pickups happen. Give us the facility name and space number and we will coordinate access with you or the office. You are welcome to meet us there or not. Many sellers simply hand off the key and paperwork and let us handle the removal.

Will I get calls from salespeople after I ask for a quote?

No. You get one number and then it is your decision. We do not run follow-up call campaigns, we do not pass your information to other buyers, and we do not send someone back to renegotiate at the door. If you say no, that is the end of it and there are no hard feelings.

I am handling my mother's estate from another state. Can this be done remotely?

Yes, and we do it regularly for families here. We can quote from photos, coordinate access with the storage facility or a neighbor, and arrange payment and title paperwork without you flying to Florida. Tell us who holds the keys and what documents the estate has, and we will work around your timeline.

The RV only has 12,000 miles. Is a low-mileage coach worth more to you?

It is, and we pay for it. Low mileage on a well-documented chassis is genuinely valuable, especially paired with service records and a roof that has been resealed on schedule. Age still matters, as do tire dates and how long it has been sitting, but a barely used coach starts from a much higher number.
