SOLDAround Ocala the RV is rarely parked out front. It is behind the barn, past the second gate, at the end of a grass track on five or ten acres off County Road 475, Highway 27 toward Anthony, or somewhere out by Fort McCoy. Owners bought a motorhome for horse show circuits or Blue Ridge summers, used it hard for a while, then life changed. Now it has sat under oaks long enough for squirrels to get into the wiring and for the batteries to go flat twice over. Marion County sellers almost never bring us a unit. We drive out to it, walk the pasture with them and take it off the property ourselves.
There is also a steady flow of inherited rigs here. Somebody's father kept a diesel pusher or a mid-nineties Class C on the family acreage, and the family now has a property to clear and no interest in learning RV mechanics. Nobody knows where the title is. The engine has not turned over since the pandemic. Rats have been in the insulation. Those are normal conditions in horse country, and we buy in that state routinely. The hard part for the family is usually removal, not price.
Almost nothing in Marion County gets driven to a buyer. Tell us how the rig sits: distance from the paved road, gate width, whether the track is sand, clay or grass, and how soft it gets after rain. We bring heavy tow equipment and, when the ground demands it, we schedule around a dry stretch. Removal from deep on the property is included in the deal.
Barns, feed and pasture mean mice and squirrels get into RVs. We open the panels expecting chewed harness, nested insulation and stained cabinetry, and we still buy. Do not gut the interior or set traps for two weeks before calling. Photos of the affected area are enough. A rodent problem changes the number modestly. It almost never changes the answer.
A motorhome that has not started since 2022 does not need to start for us to buy it. Skip the tow to a shop, the new batteries and the fuel system flush. Those repairs cost you more than they add. What we want to know is whether the tires hold air enough to roll, whether the brakes are seized, and whether the rig can be winched. We handle the rest.
Ten years under a live oak is rough on a roof. Constant leaf litter holds moisture on the seams, and one dropped limb opens a hole that goes unnoticed for a season. When you send photos, include the top if you can safely reach it, plus the ceiling inside directly under any known impact. We buy punctured and collapsed roofs. Seeing it up front keeps the offer honest.
Send photos and tell us roughly where on the property the unit sits. That second detail matters more here than anywhere else we buy. We come back with a cash figure and a plan for getting the rig off your acreage, including what equipment we bring and what the ground needs to be like. Missing title, out-of-state title or a title in a deceased relative's name are all workable. Bring us what paperwork exists and we will tell you what Florida requires. On pickup day, we drive out to the property near Ocala, Belleview, Citra or wherever it sits, handle the winch or tow ourselves, and pay you before we leave. Nothing gets left behind in the field.
